SO CUTE! So you put the sleeves as leg warmers?? Love the pillow too!
ReplyDeleteYes. Just did a quick hem on the raw end and that was it. They are super warm.
DeleteDid the sweater unravel after you cut it?
ReplyDeleteActually no. I was very gentle with it and tried to move it as little as possible with the exception of sewing it in the machine.
DeleteOh I love this. What a great look. Thanks for joining TTT. Hugs, Marty
ReplyDeleteLove, love your new pillow! What an awesome idea! Thank you for your visit today. I am your new follower!
ReplyDeleteCute. Now I wanna see the legwarmers with flats. Single handedly bringing that look back. Very creative. Thanks for sharing, liz
ReplyDeleteLove it and I love that you used the extra to make boot socks
ReplyDeleteMy husband's grandmother just passed away. I requested that inherit her blue cardigan sweater with cardinals on it. She almost always wore it as we celebrated Christmases with her. I have had this same idea, to make a pillow from it. Thank you for the I inspiration. I am also considering cardinal leg warmers!?!?!
ReplyDeleteI love the idea of making a pillow as a memorial of your husband's grandmother. If you do, I'd love to see it all finished.
DeleteWow Lisa! What a wonderful idea to also use the scraps for something! I know my daughter would LOVE these... surprising that leg warmers are back (I remember them way back in the 80's!). What a beautiful pillow it made too!
ReplyDeleteOh I love this! It looks like such a cozy pillow, and I never would have thought to use the arms as leg warmers!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful pillow you've created out of a sweater--it's super pretty and perfect for the colder months. I also really like the photo you used in your blog header--such a pretty country road! It was so nice to hear from you over at my blog--glad you enjoyed the chalkboard tv cover, and glad that it gave you ideas for your tv :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the comment. I'll have to post a picture of the finished chalkboard tv cover when I'm done with it.
DeleteA very creative solution. I don't care for that style either ( short in front long in back). Now every time you see that lovely pillow you will think of your Mothers sweet gift.Thank you for sharing at the Thursday Favorite Things hop. Wishing you a happy weekend. xo
ReplyDeleteLove the pillow and the warmers!!! Thanks for linking up.
ReplyDeleteXO
