I don't want to be a minimalist

My father was a minimalist.  My mother was not.  Although very neat and clean, I never cared for the contemporary minimalist feel of my father's home, it never had the cozy warm feeling of my mother's home.  Unfortunately, I tend to take after my dad.  I do not have the knack of layering or adding several items to a table, shelf, etc.  I am very uniform and symmetrical and wish I wasn't.   I am linking up today to A Stroll Thru Life (84th Table Top Tuesday) as an attempt to come out of my box.   I hope you like my first attempt at a tablescape.  It was actually a little difficult for me.   The jar on the table was what I started with.  This has been the only thing on this table for a while.  I am so much happier with it the way it is now.

I just bought this yesterday at Gabriel Brothers.
It was a set of two but they only had one so I got a great deal.   I love it.

Have a happy Tuesday.

  4. Oh I so love it. You did good. The tray, jar, pumpkin and the frame are all perfect. I think you did a fabulous job. I love that try and the other accessories are all so beautiful together. Isn't it fun to see such beautiful vignettes. It just warms up a room so much. Great job. Love it. Thanks for joining TTT. Hugs, Marty

  5. Your vignette looks so pretty. Love the frame, pumpkin and potpourri jar. The wood grain on your table is so beautiful. I have the same candle scones in my living room. Looks like I found another Kirklands fan.:)

Thanks for visiting my blog, love that you are a new follower.

  6. Thank you all for commenting. I am so happy with my new table vignette and plan to do another next week.

Toni, I LOVE Kirklands. I had a lady come to my house the other day (she'd never been here before). She walks in and goes "I see someone likes Kirklands). LOL.

    Have a great day
